A Factory Audit is used to assess if your potential Seller is a real company who has the capabilities, experience and quality control methods to produce and deliver the goods you wish to buy in a timely manner and efficient manner.
The Factory Audit comprises of visiting the Seller and conducting an inspection in the following areas:
- Background Information – which would be used for a Purchase Contract
- Quality Controls Procedures and Responsibilities – What are the seller’s procedures to ensuring the quality is maintained even after the product has been purchased.
- New Part Manufacturing Procedures – What are the seller’s practices and procedures to production of new products.
- Product Testing – What is the Sellers commitment and procedures to getting the product tested.
- Consumer Complaints – What are the seller’s practices and procedures to any consumer complaints.
- Product Failure Responsibilities – What support and commitment will the seller make in the event of Product Failure
- On Time Delivery – What are the Sellers practices and procedures to ensure that the product is manufactured and delivered on time
- Factory Licence Information – This will also be confirmed with the issuing body
- Certifications – This will be confirmed with the issuing body.
