How do I know if a factory is using child labor in Vietnam?

Over to you…

Vietnam inspection company – Vietnam has become one of the beneficiary countries as a result of the cooling-off in trade between Western Countries and China. The labor cost in Vietnam is lower than in China. It has forced many factories in China to relocate to Vietnam to maintain business with their Western customers.

However, many international buyers’ main challenge in Vietnam is the risks of sourcing from new or inexperienced suppliers. Buyers need to ensure that their supplier and production facilities can continuously and ethically produce a high-quality product at a fair price.

Therefore, many firms hire a Vietnam inspection company to conduct their product checks and verify and audit the Supplier’s legitimacy and capabilities. Goodada Inspections is an international inspection company providing Quality Control Inspection services since 2004.

So, what is a 3rd party inspection service Vietnam?

Many buyers require an independent firm to visit a facility in Vietnam to check a product or Supplier. In Vietnam, a 3rd party inspection service is when an independent inspection firm is requested to inspect and verify products, production processes, or the Supplier.

The services usually provided by a 3rd party inspection service Vietnam include:

So, explain AQL for products Sourced in Vietnam.

AQL is an abbreviation for a term called Acceptable Quality Limit. Acceptable Quality Limit is a method producers, buyers, and inspectors use to determine the tolerance levels of products produced in batches. As Vietnam has become a global producer of mass-produced products, understanding AQL is vital for anyone sourcing from there.

AQL provides all parties with a table that can assess the sample size for any batch of products. The table will also outline the acceptable tolerance defect levels. These tolerance levels are broken down into Critical, Major, and Minor defects.

In preparation for an order, both the Supplier and buyer should agree on the AQL standard for the product. The quality control inspector can determine the sample size and defect tolerance levels with this information. The Inspector can then declare if the batch is suitable or not suitable for the buyer in terms of defects.

To learn more about AQL for products sourced from Vietnam, visit the Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) page.

How do I know if a factory is using child labor in Vietnam?

Customers hold firms to very high standards and expectations regarding the treatment of employees and the use of Child labor in producing goods that they sell and distribute. Companies can face a massive public backlash if they are seen to exploit children or workers in the production of their products. This was seen with the Gap Child Labour controversy. This is why it is vital to know if your factory uses child labor in Vietnam.

Many firms insist on their suppliers agreeing to a Code of Conduct Policy as part of their trading terms to avoid the above from happening. A Code of Conduct document issued by firms. It details their requirements and expectations concerning staff welfare, child labor, environmental accountability, and ethical responsibility.

Therefore, firms must also demonstrate that they are actively monitoring these factories in Vietnam to check that the code of conduct is being maintained. A Code of Conduct Audit is carried out by third-party inspection firms such as Goodada Inspections. If you are interested in finding out more about this service, check out Goodada’s Code of Conduct Audit page.
