Company History and Background

Founded: 2012

We are a new artisan bakery specialising in the handmade wheaten loaf. We have been making this loaf with a recipe handed down through the generations. We supply the local market with the fresh loaf which achieved a Gold Star at The Great Taste Awards in 2013 and 2014. It is made with the finest local ingredients sourced from Andrews Mills in Belfast, who have been milling for nearly 300 years. Moving on from the fresh wheaten, we have developed a 'Bake it Yourself' Wheaten Bread Mix, 'Bake it Yourself' Soda Bread Mix and Wheaten Toasts. All of these new products are made from the same award winning ingredients, have no additives or preservatives and are virtually fat free. The 'Bake it Yourself' bread mixes evolved when a friend asked to send a loaf to America. Knowing it would not be the freshest when it arrived, we started experimenting. We replaced the wet ingredients with dry and when considering the packaging we thought it would be easier for the end user to bake the loaf in the tin that held the ingredients. From this, the 'Bake it Yourself' was born! All that is needed is to add water and bake it in the tin it comes in. The 'Bake it Yourself' allows you to take all the credit and the house smells great! Fresh wheaten or soda when you want it. They are the any time, any place, any where breads!
