European Commission update on Importing Sugar from Western Balkan’s into the European Union

The European Commission advised importers in June 2002 of the importance of the documentary evidence of origin in the context of securing preferential duty for sugar imported from the Western Balkans. The conditions for a proper functioning of preferential arrangements for sugar of tariff headings CN 1701 and CN 1702 imported from the Western Balkans into the European Union have been restored. The relevant notice to importers has been withdrawn.
